Employment

Employment

You will need to add employment for any clients employed during the submittable tax year. Employers can be added manually or automatically through your HMRC Agent connection.

To act on your clients behalf and impersonate your client select the client from your agent dashboard, select the 3 dots and ‘Impersonate’. Then select Profile & Settings > Business Sources.

Manually adding Employers

To add an Employer manually select ‘Add new Employer’, you should enter the clients Employment details to set up the Employer.

You will now be able to enter the financial data for the employment via ‘Record Keeping’ or use the clients P60 to enter financial data directly onto the tax submission form.

Adding Employers directly from HMRC

You can use your previously connected HMRC Agent connection to pull the data directly from HMRC. HMRC makes this data available from September following the end of the tax year.

To add an Employer from HMRC data select ‘Get data from HMRC’ and follow the onscreen instructions. When the connection is made successfully any employment data provided by HMRC will be shown and the employment section of the tax submission form will be updated with the Employers and financial data.
