Client Impersonation: Accessing your clients account

What is Client Impersonation?

Client Impersonation allows you to log directly into your client's account from your Agent Dashboard. You'll have full access to prepare, review, and submit their tax return on their behalf.

How to Impersonate a Client

  1. Open your Agent Dashboard

  2. Find the client you want to access

  3. Select the three-dot menu (⋮) on their card

  4. Select Impersonate

  5. You're now logged into their account with full accountant access


Click Sign out to return to your Agent Dashboard

What You Can Do

When impersonating a client, you have full accountant access to:

  1. Manage and review their transactional and source data

  2. View and review all their data and tax return

  3. Review return and prepare it for submission

  4. Submit their return to HMRC when ready


Quick Tips
  • You have your full accountant capabilities when logged into a client account

  • Exit view on the green banner to return to your Agent Dashboard when you're finished
